Dejo el alcoholismo social

A más de uno le sorprendió esto, ya que usualmente soy el que pone la casa y organiza los tours de cantina y prepara todo para las borracheras de fin de semana, pero he decidido parar.

El domingo pasado, celebrando a San Patricio ocurrieron algunas cosas que me orillan a tomar esta decisión; normalmente podría haberlas pasadas por alto pero creo que ya es suficiente.

Enumerando mis razones:

1. Tomé tanto que hice mi primer nefasteo por la cuenta en la vida; ya sobrio me di cuenta de que la regué, pero hice pasar un mal rato a los que me atendían y a lo mejor a otros que me acompañaban. Es la primera vez, pero no quiero que se repita, no quiero ser esa clase de persona.

2. Comencé a notar que mi dislexia se acentúa con el consumo en exceso de alcohol, y no me gusta sentirme estúpido.

3. Mis borracheras se están interponiendo en mi objetivo serio de bajar de peso y ponerme en forma.

4. He llegado a importunar a ciertas personas que, aunque no me lo dicen, consideran que solo ebrio puedo interactuar con ellas.

5. Últimamente he gastado más en alcohol que en comida.

6. Los periodos de cruda son tiempos muertos y perdidos.

7. Mi casa no dura limpia.

8. No quiero ser conocido como "es bien pedote".

9. Quiero ser digno de las personas que quiero y amo, así como de la empresa para la que trabajo.

10. Quiero ser feliz sin recurrir al alcohol.

Decir que dejo el alcoholismo social es salir a beber a algún lugar o beber con alguien más, yo me voy a seguir consintiendo con una que otra cerveza, o con un refrescante Gin & Tonic.

Lo que busco es beber, moderadamente, sin joder al prójimo y hacerlo por el disfrute, ya que honestamente, me estaba volviendo el tipo de persona que buscaba pretexto para beber, y dejé de disfrutarlo.

Es mi periodo de prueba, hasta mi cumpleaños, veremos que pasa.

Y si, la cerveza si es el secreto de la felicidad

"A group of researchers led by David Kareken [Ed. note: lucky!]of Indiana University came to the finding, published today in the journal Neuropsychopharmacology, by giving tiny amounts of beer to 49 adult men and tracking changes in their brain chemistry with a positron emission tomography (PET) scanner, which measures levels of various molecules in the brain. They chose participants with varying levels of typical alcohol consumption — from heavy drinkers to near-teetotalers — and even tested them with the beer they reported that they drank most frequently. Because they used an automated system to spray just 15 milliliters (about half an ounce) of beer on each participant’s tongue over the course of 15 minutes, they could be sure that any changes in brain chemistry wouldn’t be due to intoxication.

Interestingly, the amount of dopamine release per person wasn’t random. People who had a family history of alcoholism (as reported on a survey) showed notably higher dopamine levels after tasting beer as compared to others."

No se puede pensar bien con tensión sexual; hasta los japoneses tienen una palabra para describir ese breve periodo de iluminación que viene después de un orgasmo... me extraña que no tengan palabras para decir "Te Amo".

llegas al concierto a las 9:30, aunque el boleto decía 9:00; te dejan entrar como a las 10:00 estando media hora de pie (que me caga esperar...); entras y está mezclando un gordito y un flaco, equis, sin punch; ves que pedo para agarrar mesa y te piden que compres pomo (aunque los putos boletos eran VIP, pero los 50 pesos extra valieron la pena; llego después a eso); los pomos son de 1,100 para arriba, decidimos copear y no nos dan mesa (otra vez de pie, puta madre); termina el gordito y el flaco y se suben otros dos, uno medio drogado y otro muy brincolín, casi mezclando como cualquier dj fashion que dizque le mueve a la música y no hace nada, y pa acabarla de chingar ni mezclan bien...

11:00 pm, le pido dos tragos al mesero, me dice que son $ 210, lo mando a la chingada y llego a la barra, me cobran $ 150, los pago, me voy y siguen mezclando brincolín y droguin; vemos a la de vestido azul, lentes de pasta, vestido entallado, buena bubi, aire geek intelectual y con un idiota; repartimos el tiempo en criticar a los djs, verdear a la de azul y tomar; voy por otros tragos, me aclara el de la barra que son $ 150 más $ 20... de ahí en adelante le dejé su propina cada vez que iba; se sube a mezclar un morro, más prendido, más chido, ya headbangeamos; seguimos viendo a la de azul y su guey empieza a hacer estupideces; dos tragos más.

1:00 am, se trepa a mezclar un guey con aire de gringo, con un estilo parecido a Designer Drugs; notamos que hay "zombis", el boleto decía "Zombie Party", desafortunadamente para ellos solo son 3; otros dos tragos, salen los Designer Drugs a acompañar al gringo, beben Johnnie Walker directo de la botella, uno se ve súper grifo, el otro con toda la pila del mundo, tienen sus groupies, todos se alborotan; finalmente, a las 2:00 am empiezan a tocar... la locura!!! tocan todas las que me gustan, y unas 5 rolas desconocidas; nos podemos acercar, si, enfrente de ellos, brincamos saltamos, chocamos los puños con ellos, el DD grifo se aventaba al público, lo cargamos, aventaba todo, el DD alegre firmando, sonriendo, disfrutando; 3:50 am, les apagan el sonido del antro, ellos siguen tocando, solo los VIP's los oímos, los demás se la pelan, voltean sus monitores hacia nosotros, seguimos brincando, tres canciones más, les cortan la luz o hubieran seguido; satisfechos, cansados, adoloridos.
